     On behalf of the First Presbyterian Church of Las Animas, CO I would like to welcome you.  For over 137 years First Presbyterian has been a witness to the community of Las Animas.  Founded in 1874 by Sheldon Jackson the congregation of First Presbyterian Church has sought to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Through times of war and peace, plenty and want, trials and victories, the family of First Pres has experienced many storms of life and been blessed by the awesome grace of God!
Located in the small rural farming town of Las Animas, CO (population 2300) our congregation consists of approximately 90 members.  In the legacy of our reformed faith our worship services are primarily traditional in nature.  However, we do try and speak to the "contemporary" church of today.  Our music ministry is blessed with the gifts of our pianist, organist, and worship leader.
The ministries at First Pres are many.  From children ministries to youth group, Bible studies to group studies, Presbyterian Women and Men's group, we seek to provide opportunities for all of God's children to grow in their faith.  I encourage you to learn more about the ministries of our church by clicking the "Ministries" tab at the left.  I am sure that you will find a ministry that fits your style of study.
